Certified Organic Beef from Maverick Ranch

Maverick Ranch Beef is proud to offer fresh Certified Organic meat which is now available to supermarket retailers. It is the first certified organic meat production which follows the new organic guidelines as recently announced by the USDA.

MAVERICK RANCH High Meadows Organic Beef is third party process certified organic raised every step of the way by Quality Assurance International. Certification inspectors document the organic process starting on the ranches thru to the processing plants. Each participant (rancher, feeder, and packer) submits a management plan to QAI. When that plan is approved by the QAI inspector, the periodic inspection and verification begins. In organic beef production, all pastures and feed are inspected in order for the beef to be certified to be organic. Maverick Ranch High Meadows Certified Organic Meat meets the guidelines established by the Organic Trade Association and the proposed USDA organic regulations as published in the Federal Register.

During the packing process, organically raised meat must be transported in clean trucks. Packing plants are also organically certified for pest control, sanitation, and processing.
