   Our lambs are raised in the United States in small herds using an environmentally friendly and stress-free method. We work with well-respected groups to continue improving the genetics of our breeding stock naturally. Our free-range sheep enjoy the benefits of cool, fresh air and a pollution-free environment.

   We raise our lambs without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, or stimulants. Our sheep and lambs are fed a natural grain diet supplemented with vitamins, which provides the essentials for healthy growing lambs. We never feed our lambs animal byproducts of any kind. With room to roam, our lamb mature at nature's pace, with minimal stress.

   This extra care means that our sheep produce wholesome, high quality, naturally good meat. Yes, this is more costly than commodity lamb, but the natural maturity provides a more tender, flavorful meat that is better for you and tastes great - the old fashioned, natural way.

   As you may already know, Maverick Ranch respects the environment. We treat it with care so it will continue to be a source of nourishment for us and future generations. Although it is faster, easier, and cheaper to raise animals with the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, medications, and drugs, we don't believe this is the way to raise our sheep.

   All of our farmers are committed to following the most stringent raising protocol for sheep and lamb. We identify each animal from birth and are able to ensure their diets and welfare throughout their life. At all times, each animal is always treated humanely.
