    At Maverick Ranch, our commitment to safe, healthy food is evident by the wide variety of Maverick Ranch products certified "heart healthy" by the American Heart Association. The Association's heart-check mark is an easy and reliable tool to help you identify foods that are low in saturated fat and cholesterol and that can be part of a heart healthy diet.

    A cut of meat must meet USDA "extra lean" guidelines to be certified in this program. These guidelines are:

1. Less than 5g of fat*
2. Less than 2g of saturated fat*
3. Less than 95mg of cholesterol*

*Per USDA reference amount and per 100g.

    Take a look at our nutritional facts for the items listed below and you'll find that each one meets or exceeds these requirements. Maverick Ranch was one of the very first meat producers to participate in this program, and currently we have nine products certified:

MAVERICK RANCH NATURALITE BEEF

    Maverick Ranch was founded on all natural extra lean ground beef, and our NaturaLite line of ground beef products is still our most popular. In addition to being laboratory tested and guaranteed free of residues from antibiotics, steroids, and pesticides, our 96% Lean 4% Fat Extra Lean Ground Beef, Ground Chuck, Ground Round, and Ground Sirloin are all certified by the American Heart Association.

MAVERICK RANCH NATURAL PORK

    The big difference between ordinary pork and Maverick Ranch Natural Pork is that most ordinary pork has been bred to be so lean as to be tough and flavorless. Corporate pork producers make up for this by pumping their pork with water and sodium. Maverick Ranch is proud to provide nutritionally superior pork raised the old-fashioned way with carefully-selected breeding stock. The result is all natural pork that tastes the way pork used to taste, but is still very lean! For example, our delicious 96% Lean 4% Fat Pork Tenderloin is certified by the American Heart Association.
