Like most parents, we are proud of our family. Following is a brief resume of each member of our family.
Roy R. Moore, Jr. - Roy is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Moore Holdings, Inc. which includes Maverick Ranch Association, Inc., National Realty Exchange, Inc., Rocking M Cattle Co., Maverick Marketing, GuaranTek Analytical Laboratories, TLC Wildlife Ranches, and Mid America Properties. Roy has a life-long history in ranching and started in the real estate business in Phoenix, Arizona in 1962. Roy won the Snyder Trophy in 1967, which is the National Association of Realtors highest award. He is a member of the Society of Exchange Counselors (SEC). In 1986, Roy was awarded the Livestock Man of the Year by the Record Stockman, one of the leading agriculture newspapers. This was in recognition for his work in establishing the Salers breed in the United States and for starting the Maverick Ranch Marketing System. Maverick Ranch also started the extra lean ground beef movement in the U.S., and was the first company to market ground beef from USDA graded corn-fed beef that was more than 90% lean.
Roy has served in every office in the American Salers Association and served on the Board of Directors for sixteen years. He also served on the Board of Directors and as President of the American Wagyu Association. Wagyu is the breed that produces Japan's famous Kobe beef. Roy has been active in committee work for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association and has served on the Board of Directors. Today, he is active in the American Heart Association and served as a Denver Metro American Heart Association Director.

Bobbi was one of the founders, Directors and the first President of the Salers Belles, the women's auxiliary for the American Salers Association. She currently is a member of Mile Hi Cattlewomen of Colorado.
Bobbi has worked full-time at Maverick Ranch Beef since 1987 and serves as our Creative Director as well as one of our graphic designers. Since the company's inception she has directed the corporate image of Maverick Ranch, as well as serving as the first President of Maverick Marketing (a job she has passed to her son Monte). Maverick Marketing is an independent agency that handles all of the Maverick Ranch projects and does graphic design work for a number of outside clients. Bobbi attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and oversees our recipe division and the food styling for photos in our brochures and advertising.
Rex R. Moore - Rex is President and Chief Operations Officer of Maverick Ranch. Before becoming President in the late 1990s, he served as the Vice President where he helped the Moore family start Maverick in 1985. Rex put himself through college with his Salers cattle herd that he started while he was in 4-H as a youth. He graduated from the University of Idaho in Agricultural Business. Rex's three brothers followed his example and put themselves through college in the same manner. Roy and Bobbi's philosophy was that it was better for their sons to do it for themselves than to have something given to them.
Rex served as the second President of the American Junior Salers Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors and as Vice President of the American Wagyu Association. Today, Rex serves as a Director of the North American Meat Processors and the National Meat Association. He is becoming recognized as a leader in the beef industry and is keeping Maverick Ranch Beef in the forefront of the branded beef industry. At almost 40 years of age, Rex has a great future to continue to lead Maverick and the industry into providing natural meat products with quality and safety that were unknown in the past.
